The Worthington community will celebrate the beauty of trees and the benefits they bring to our neighborhoods with a tree planting on the Village Green this Arbor Day, Friday April 26, 2019. Community members and school students are invited to attend the ceremony and help plant the tree. Tree saplings will be distributed to those in attendance.

The Worthington Farmers Market was established in 1987 and is one of the largest and most respected markets in Ohio. From November to April, the Worthington Farmers Market takes place at the Shops at Worthington Place! Come shop for fresh produce, plants, meats and other homemade foods, desserts and crafts.

The City of Worthington is proud to partner with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio for Drug Take-Back Day. National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means for disposing prescription drugs while also educating the community about the potential for drug abuse and the importance of protecting the public’s health and the environment through proper disposal.
Drive through Worthington's convenient drop off location on Saturday, April 27th between 10am-2pm. Only pills will be accepted. No syringes, liquids or creams. For your privacy, it is recommended that you place the pills in a zip-lock bag and dispose of the bottle at home. If you are unable to drop off your prescriptions during the drive through hours, a permanent prescription drop box is available 24/7 in the Police Department lobby.

Worthington residents may drop off yard waste the last Saturday of each month (March to October) between Noon and 3:00 p.m. There are no quantity, size, or bundling restrictions. Please enter the gate at the north end of the Service Building. Residents must show proof of residency.

Library visits should be fun and stress-free and Worthington Libraries wants to help by providing a safe, accommodating space. Held outside the library's regular operating hours and open only to patrons with autism, or other sensory sensitivity, this event means fewer of the things that may be overwhelming, like large crowds, loud noises and lots of distractions. A short storytime starts in the meeting room at 12:30 pm. Presented in partnership with the Autism Society of Central Ohio. Registration is required.
